NARS to be ARRL Expo Spotlighted Club at Hamvention®

The Nashua Area Radio Society has been invited by the ARRL to be a spotlighted club in the ARRL Expo at the 2019 Dayton Hamvention®!   The theme of this year’s Hamvention is “Mentoring the Next Generation” and the ARRL invited us to be part of their booth because of our focus on Education, new Ham Development, Mentoring, and Youth Outreach.

The Dayton Hamvention, now held at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Xenia, OH, is the largest Amateur Radio Convention in the world.  You will see booths from just about any vendor you can imagine.  There are also many educational forums on topics such as Contesting, Antennas, AMSAT, SDRs and much more!  This year’s Hamvention will be held on May 17th – 19th.

We will be taking a group photo of our members at the March Meeting this Tuesday, March 5th.  Please plan to attend the meeting so that you can be part of this photo!

If you would like to travel to Dayton to attend the Hamvention and would like to help staff the booth,  please contact Anita, AB1QB at [email protected] or talk to me before or after the meeting on Tuesday.

As you can see from the Claimed Score above and the Final Score Below, we busted only 8 QSOs our of 389, resulting in a reduction of less than 10% of our score.  We will receive a report with the details of the errors, which will help us to improve in future contests.
