A July Newsletter Call for Articles

It’s the summer and it’s kind of hot. I’m not complaining though since I was snowblowing in April and if you’re a Game of Thrones fan: winter is coming. But, if you found yourself indoors in the A/C then perhaps you were also on the radio. Or tinkering. Or researching a cool fact about amateur radio. Whatever the case may be, write in and tell us about it!

A link to explain how to write an article can be found here:

    https://www.n1fd.org/forums/topic/info-how-to-post-articles-on-our-blog/

Once your article is written, it will be compiled into our newsletter for all our members to see. But fear not, if you wonder if you’re running out of time — you’re not! We are planning to publish our May newsletter on July 31 so feel free to even submit up until that afternoon.

If you are new to the club, we’d certainly like to hear your thoughts and topics that you find interesting / awesome about the wonderful world of amateur radio.

All of these topics and many others make interesting articles for others to read about. Articles do not need to be very long either. A picture or two and a few paragraphs is all that you need.

We are especially interested in reading about our members’ backgrounds and interests. This is particularly true for members who are on the 2018 Executive Committee. Please take a minute and write your Member Spotlight today. Here are some good examples of member spotlights to help you to get started –

    Frank, N1DGQ

    Brian, AB1ZO

    Anita, AB1QB

    Fred, AB1OC

    Abby, AB1BY

    Desmond, WK1V

    Rick, K8EZB

    Scott, NE1RD

    Jamey, AC1DC

    Dave, K1DLM

    Craig, N1FST

When you write an article on our Blog, it reaches many more Amateurs beyond the folks who are members of NARS/ Our website makes it simple and speedy to write an article.

Several of our articles have been featured as front page news on sites like QRZcom.

We hope that you can find a little time to create an article for our  newsletter. And if you do, go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back! You deserve it!
