Hi Anita,
I cannot connect via Cellular (AT&T) connections or WiFi with Cellular Disabled (Grande Communications) on iPhone XS or iPad Air.

Rob, KG5OBUThank you Fred. I kind of thought that might be the solution. I took a look at the link you sent. The description says it’s a 4:1 tuner balun for 200 to 50 ohms. My ladderline is 450 ohms, so is this still the correct balun? Since the balun in my tuner is 4:1, I’m assuming it is, but if I’m going to be buying something, I might as well make sure I get the best match possible. Please let me know. Thank you!
Is this a regular occurrence? I see the fox has been let out the last two weekends, but I was not around. I would love to give it a go!

July 14, 2020 at 2:22 pm in reply to: Tech Night Tonight – Getting Started with VHF+ Weak Signal #86585i am extremely interested in this topic. I have a conflict this evening. What is the usual ending time for Tech Night? Would I be able to sign in late?
Thanks,

No problem! Glad to help

Hamilton,
I’ll accept your offer, though I sent it off to Yaesu for a repair estimate as my insurer assessed significant depreciation on the item. I don’t anticipate Yaesu will be a cost effective repair option but it provides me an additional cost price for further discussion with the insurer.
A discussion on grounding improvement will be great as I thought I had all areas covered. Then again hanging a ~130′ wire between 2 trees seems like it would be a lightning magnet.
Thanks,

Just be sure, when you go to use this cable, that you take the ends off from the same side they were put on. If you do, it will uncoil neatly with no extra twists. But watch out if you accidentally pass an end through the middle of the coil (try it!)
Fred,
Last evening (12/29) on the 10M HF net, once we switched to 20 meters, I lost all communication with the group. I could hear you very weakly above background noise levels but none, with the exception of one other, of the participants. Your signal was unintelligible to me and not able to be understood.
Will the HF Net continue on 20 meters or will it go back to 10 meters or another frequency?
Sorry for posting this here but there was no recent listing of participants for last night’s session.
