I appreciate the information about WFD 2023. I also used FT8 for all of WFD 2023. Lesson learned: recheck the rules prior to any contesting for any changes. I have attached my scoring results from N1MM. 140 QSO’s Score: 3,360
The WFD 2023 requirements and FAQ,s are a big help. The explanation in the FAQ about Why FT8 is not allowed makes a lot of sense to me now. Thank you for that explanation.

Appreciate the information from Jwahar K1JBD, and Hamilton K1HMS, about keeping the Power/SWR meter in the system. It is a nice addition to my set-up.
I will keep the meter on the SWR setting unless I need to check Power out.
Thank you both very much.
My question has been answered.

Fred,
I have a Ford Ranger pick-up, and am volunteering my services. Just point me in the right direction.
Also, what are we doing about food?

April 1, 2021 at 5:08 pm in reply to: ICOM-7300 -FT8 Issue of USB-D going to USB on transmit #117534Tom,
I appreciate the info. I verified that I now have all of the correct settings. Those settings you referred to were set, as I had checked previously.
I now have FT8 working as it should.
Thank you very much.

Your information solved my ICOM-7300-FT8 problem. Fantastic!
I had to change the following on WSJT-X:
Radio Settings From To
Data Bits Default 8
Stop Bits Default 1
Handshake Default None
I just confirmed that I had it corrected, as I made contact in Colorado and the software did it all.
Many thanks,

March 14, 2021 at 8:53 pm in reply to: G5RV Dipole Antenna Height vs Tuning with a RigExpert AA-55 ZOOM/BT #114219I appreciate all of the information that was sent to me. I now will do some reading and if I have any more questions I certainly will reach out. Today, while it was very windy, I was outside looking at which trees I would be using for the G5RV dipole. I picked the trees that swayed the least for setting up the dipole next month.
Many thanks to Hamilton- K1HMS , and Mike K1WVO

Paul,
Don’t know if it will help, but I have an ICOM-7300 and had a problem with all static. I reread the instructions and found that I had fat fingered one of the TFT ( touch for tuning) and had it on CW, not SSB. To correct that : On the touch screen just to the right of the Tune/ TX , you will see a place where it would say SSB, CW, RTTY tec. If you touch this it will bring up a screen so that you can select SSB, CW, RTTY, et . Then select TX or USB,. Hope this helps.Thank you,
