Note the distinction between using EchoLink from an iPhone or iPad TO THE NIMO-R network vs. a PC or any other device to access N1IMO-R.

The iPhone/iPad to N1IMO-R cases have never worked and won’t without a significant rework of the network’s IP system. The PC and non-apple mobile devices should work fine

Echotest does not directly involve the N1IMO-R system and is not the issue here.

Apparently, the N1IMO-R implementation can only support Echolink connections from Windows desktop computers. Connections from iPhones and iPad do not work.

          Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear about the problems with your new station. One thing that might be helpful to confirm where the problem is – can you find a local Ham who might bring a known good radio to your QTH to try with your antennas? That would tell you for sure where the problem is.

Yes, there is a small file size limit on avatar photos. This is because they are used as icons in many places on our website.

You might want to take a look at a Buddipole. It would be useful for operating portable as well.

                  Hello Duane,

You might try entering “Shack” into the search box on our website to get some ideas on how to set up your shack.

Also, here’s a picture of Jamey, AC1DC’s setup that is a nice one.

                    Hello Luke,

We use a crimp/solder setup here and it works very well. You’ll need the proper connectors and crimp tool for the coax/connector combination that you want to use. Check out DXengineering for the needed supplies. You can probably find some good videos showing the process on YouTube.

                    Have fun with your project!

                      Hello James,

Craig covered this well. We are near the bottom of the sunspot cycle right now so propagation on the 10m Band is difficult at best. The best time for opening is during the May/June/July E-skip season which is still a ways off.

As we get further into the coming new sunspot cycle, propagation will get better and you should be able to participate from FL.

                        Hello Duane,

I’d suggest using Dimension 4. Don’t forget to turn off the windows time setting utility as well.
