    Hello Everyone,

I just spoke with Jamey, our Wire Antenna Chairperson and we’ve scheduled our Wire Antenna Building party for Monday, May 14th starting at 9:30 am at our (AB1OC/AB1QB) QTH. Anita will be adding this to the NARS calendar sometime later today. The projects that we’ll be doing include:

    • Testing existing and build new inverted V wire antennas for the following bands/modes – 80m CW, 40m CW, 75m SSB, 80m Digital, and 40m Digital
    • Modifying our wire antenna side-arm mounts with pulleys/ropes for the Digital Tower
    • Reinforcing the 40m V-beam masts for greater strength
    • Adjusting the V-beam elements for the planned front to side performance optimizations in progress

This will be a great opportunity to learn about how to make and tune wire antennas. All NARS members are welcome. Please let me know if you’d like to join us via an email to [email protected].

    73,

    - Fred (AB1OC)
