Contests are a great opportunity for you to find States and Countries that you need confirmed in your log to use towards the WAS and DXCC Awards. You can use N1MM+ Logger to log your contest calls and submit the results for the contest per the instructions in the rules. Next you can export the contest log into an adif file and import it into QRZ or LOTW. There are two great advantages with chasing states and countries in a contest. The first is that they are on the air and are looking for you. The second is that they are most likely to confirm their contacts, so you can use the QSO to qualify for an award.
