It is with great sadness that I learned from Ed, AG6CX, that Owen Duffy, VK2OMD has taken down his website at OwenDuffy.net. Owen has cited both personal and practical reasons for doing so.

His critical reviews of technical subjects appearing on the web have been an inspiration for many including myself.

His blogs are filled with corrections to misinformation appearing on the web and in technical forums. and his comments will be sorely missed.

For those of you who have been followers, many of Owen’s more recent posts may still be found in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine by following these steps:

      1. Go to web.archive.org/ in a web browser
      2. Enter a website URL (OwenDuffy.net) or keyboard in the Wayback Machine search bar
      3. Select a year in the timeline at the top
      4. Click a day in the calendar
      5. Click one of the snapshots in the pop-up menu
      6. View the website

It seems to work, and here is one such recent example: https://web.archive.org/web/20240917015738/https://owenduffy.net/blog/

There was also this link for older material at VK1OD: https://web.archive.org/web/”/vk1od.net

Owen states that this older material may not be complete nor is it “the most up-to-date scrape.”

I have determined that the embedded links to his many applets continue to work. Many of you may find these to be as valuable as I have.

I know that I, for one, wish Owen the best of luck with whatever lies ahead.
