From  Observances of National POW MIA Recognition Day are held across this country on the third Friday in September each year. This year it will be on September 15th. The day was established to honor our prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action. K4MIA will be in operation September 13 thru 17 to recognize our POWs and MIAs. Operation on or around 21.300, 18.150, 14.265, and 7.185. Also some CW in the general portion of the band. Besides myself K4MIA Mike in Fl, there are several other portable stations. There will be sister stations. K4MIA/1 Don KB5VP in VT. K4MIA/5 Steve KC5USN (Museum Of The American GI) and John W5PDW in TX. K4MIA/7 Lee K7NM in UT. K4MIA/8 Linda N8LRS and Metro W8MET in OH. For a QSL (card can be seen below) please send your QSL and SASE to address above. Working any of the K4MIA stations will receive the SAME QSL. All stations should QSL to the K4MIA address. Because of volume of requests you MUST SEND SASE to get a returned QSL. Please take time to remember our POW’s and MIA’s as well as their families. I would like to include KIA’s and all veterans (past and present) that have given so much for this country.
