Tony asks about joining nets late:
On getting into a net late it depends on the situation. Generally nets are glad to fit everybody in. If the net is running late and there is another scheduled to start on the same frequency they might not appreciate a late check in. If you had been listening you may have heard the last call. The North American Awards and Traffic net is on 7185 from 2300z to 0030z, you can get on their list on the air or at their web site. At 0100z OMISS is also on 7185. They and many others use Net Logger, it is a free down load for windows. With a couple clicks of the mouse you can see the schedule for a dozen nets on several bands, pick one, and automatically be added to the list. A net might be called the YL-Net or the Navy-Net. Feel free to join in even if you are not a YL, they want traffic and will be glad to hear from you. Another favorite is ECARS at 7255.
I would highly suggest first download Netlogger, it is a great program for seeing nets that are currently on line and logging as well. No card printing with this program, but direct upload to e-QSL and files can be uploaded to other programs where you maybe able to print QSL cards.

Next link is to 3905 Century Club, another net that is more structured with check ins as uses calling areas and then periodic call for additional check ins. This group has digital, CW as well as SSB nets. Normally, 40m SSB is 8PM local time on 7.2675, but YL System net is just ahead of this net. You can see all these nets on Netlogger.
