The Nashua Area Radio Society will be holding another Fox Hunt at Mine Falls Park in Nashua, NH on Saturday, August 22nd, and we hope you will join us for a fun morning of radio direction finding.

The foxes will be out by 9:00 am, and club members will be available at the entrance to Mine Falls Park at the end of Whipple Street to help everyone get started.

If you are new to fox hunting, this is a great opportunity to give it a try! NARS members will have HTs and antennas available, and experienced fox hunters will be there to help explain how fox hunting works, how to use the equipment, and how to follow the signal to find the hidden transmitters.

Fox hunting is a fun way to practice radio skills, learn about direction finding, and enjoy time outdoors with fellow club members. It is also a great activity for families, new hams, and anyone who wants to learn more about this part of amateur radio.

The weather should make for a beautiful morning in the park, so bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and your sense of adventure. Whether you have hunted foxes before or are trying it for the first time, this will be a fun and welcoming event.

You can use the table below to program your HT for the fox frequencies.

If you need to brush up on how to hunt a fox, you can watch the recording from our most recent Tech Night on Fox Hunting.  Make sure you are logged into N1FD.org.  Go to the Tech Night page, and scroll down about 1/3 of the way down the page to see the Tech Night videos.

We hope to see you at Mine Falls Park this Saturday morning!

Reminder that the Foxes will be out today at Mine Falls Park by 9:00 am.

We’ll have a table at the park entrance at the end of Whipple St. where we’ll have instructions and HTs for those who are new to Fox Hunting.

Hope to see you there today!
