The Nashua Area Radio Society will be holding a fox hunt at Mine Falls Park in Nashua, NH on Saturday, July 11th, and it promises to be a fun morning of radio direction finding, outdoor activity, and hands-on learning.
The foxes will be out by 9:00 am, and participants can begin hunting from there. We will have club members stationed at the entrance to Mine Falls Park at the end of Whipple Street in the morning to help everyone get started.
New to fox hunting? This is a great opportunity to give it a try! NARS members will have HTs and antennas available, and experienced fox hunters will be on hand to help newcomers learn how to use the equipment, follow signals, and track down the hidden transmitters.
Fox hunting is a great way to build radio skills while enjoying time outdoors with fellow club members. It is also a lot of fun for families, newer hams, and anyone interested in learning more about radio direction finding.
The weather looks like it will be beautiful, so bring comfortable walking shoes, water, and your sense of adventure. Whether you are an experienced fox hunter or trying it for the first time, this should be a great morning in the park.
