Hybrid Membership Meeting Tuesday August 2nd

Hello Members,

It has been one of my top priorities to get NARS back to having live meetings again. Last month, in July we did a successful test in the Nashua Public Library Theater and had 7 members present for our Membership Meeting. We would like to invite members to join us for our August meeting on Tuesday August 2nd at the NPL Theater. Last April the Executive Committee of NARS approved a COVID-19 Policy for the club to follow as we resume live events. Please review the policy on the website at this link:

The current policy includes the following conditions for holding live meetings:

* CDC Community Guidelines are Green.
* Attendees provide proof of vaccination to the club secretary prior to the meeting.
* Seating configured for 6' social distancing

Given these limitations we calculate that the Theater can accommodate 30 to 35 members. As time passes and we gain experience with hosting live events again with our members, we will seek comments and suggestions and are prepared to review how we handle live events. This is new for all of us, and we are taking things carefully, one step at a time.

We are booked at the Nashua Public Library Theater for the first Tuesday of the month for the next year. CDC Guidelines are updated weekly on Thursday nights and are Green this week, so we are going to host members at the Library Theater for our August Membership Meeting on Tuesday.

Since we began having Zoom meetings, we have many people who are not local to our area who attend our meetings online and also guest presenters who also join our meetings online, so we are committed to having Zoom as a core part of our future meetings. For this reason, all of our meetings will be Hybrid, both live and on Zoom. Our Zoom session will begin around 6:50 PM and the official meeting will start at 7:00 as normal. Since we need to be out of the library by 9:00 PM we will plan on ending our meetings at 8:30 PM with a hard stop at 8:45 PM to give us time to have the Theater cleaned up and returned to proper order before we leave, and the library closes at 9:00 PM.

Be prepared to pay for parking until 7:00 PM.

I will be present at the Nashua Public Library Theater around 6:00 PM to prepare the theater for our group’s event.
