Back in May, Charlie Dunn, W1CBD, posted a request for members to purchase and donate fans and lights for Field Day. At that time, we needed nine fans and nine lights to outfit all our stations. Since then, a number members have made gracious donations. But alas, we are still short of our goal. We need another four (4) small fans and six (6) incandescent desk lamps.
If you’ve ever wanted to help at a NARS event but couldn’t because of distance or time constraints, here’s your chance to be a hero. Your generous donation of a fan or a light will help make Field Day a safe and enjoyable event for everyone. The items we need are available from Amazon via the following links:

I attempted to order a fan, but the delivery date was after Field Day. I have a few fans I can loan to the cause that I will bring with me to setup.
Thank you to everyone that graciously donated a fan or a light and to those that are lending some for the weekend. We appreciate your contribution. It was down to the wire, but closed the gap at the Field Day planning meeting late last week. So long as everyone that has committed to bring a fan/light arrives by Friday midday, we’re good-to-go! Thank you again.
To those that bought a fan from the NARS Amazon Smile “wedding list” (i.e., https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CLAL8S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pldnSite=1), please note these fans have rechargeable batteries in addition to A/C power. The batteries will need to be charged in advanced. Please charge the batteries before you bring them Field Day.
