Some of you may have noticed an inappropriate topic posting a few days ago. The post has since been removed and action taken to ensure that this does not happen again. My apologies to anyone who was offended. This is just a reminder that this is a G-rated site and the content of topics should be such. Also, flame wars and trolling will not be tolerated at all. The offending posts will be removed and the poster banned from the forums.

I would also like to bring up the subject of account security including password hygiene. Please keep your email and n1fd.org login credentials secure. Pick a long, easily remembered password with mixed case, at least one symbol and some numbers. Avoid using common words found in the dictionary, as these passwords are easy to crack. Change your password frequently and use different passwords for different sites. These guidelines are especially important in regards to the email account associated with your n1fd.org login.

Please let me know if you notice any unusual activity with your account such as posts that you did not make or password reset emails sent to you when you did not request a reset.

Gmail users may also want to consider using two-step verification on their accounts. This adds another layer of security. With two-step verification, a text with a verification code is sent to your cell phone after you have successfully supplied your login credentials. Enter the code on your PC when prompted and you’re good to go.

Two-step verification can be enabled from the account settings page of Google.
