Field Day Test – Radio Setup for 2022

Lee KC1GKJ, Joe AC1LN, and Fred AB1OC got together today to configure our radios and loggers for 2022 Field Day and do a Field Day Test. We focused on the 80m/15m/10m station as it is the most complicated of our four planned stations at Field Day.

We also configured a second computer running N1MM+ for use with the 20m station. We used both PCs to check out log sharing,

Scouts in Australia Contact the ISS via Amateur Radio

I once again had the pleasure to help a group of young people make contact with an Astronaut on the International Space Station (ISS) this past week. The Scouts were participating in a Jamboree in Victoria, Australia. You can learn more about the event, called VicJam, here…

Scouts in Victoria, Australia made contact with Astronaut Mark VandeHei, KG5GNP this past Tuesday, January 4th, 2022.

Thank You For Your Support!

I received some great news from ARRL HQ this afternoon. Thanks to the great support from so many people, I will have the privilege of serving as your ARRL New England Division Director for the next 3 years.

It has been an amazing opportunity to campaign for and prepare to take on this challenge. I have met so many great folks and groups during the past 6 months since the process of running to become your director began. The people in our Division give me great confidence that Amateur Radio has a great future ahead for all of us…

I want to add a special thanks to the members of the Nashua Area Radio Society Executive Committee. The EC stepped up to take on a good deal of the load that I have carried as your President which enabled me to devote the needed attention to campaigning for and preparing to become ARRL New England Division Director. I am also very happy to see that our current EC will continue to lead our club going forward. Several of us including me a switching chairs which is a good thing but the leadership of the club remains intact.

Thank you to all of the NARS members who supported me and who helped to provide the opportunity for me to serve. I very much appreciate everyone’s support.
