Field Day Test – Radio Setup for 2022

Lee KC1GKJ, Joe AC1LN, and Fred AB1OC got together today to configure our radios and loggers for 2022 Field Day and do a Field Day Test. We focused on the 80m/15m/10m station as it is the most complicated of our four planned stations at Field Day.

We also configured a second computer running N1MM+ for use with the 20m station. We used both PCs to check out log sharing,

which will be used at Field Day. Thanks to Joe and Lee for the great work to prepare NARS for Field Day 2022 and complete our Field Day Test.

  1. Thank you Lee KC1GKJ, Joe AC1LN, Fred AB1OC, any everyone else who helped make last weekend’s Field Day such a success! It was my first Field Day and my son Ben and I really enjoyed it.

I have a quick question about the radio setup used at the event… I’m interested in knowing the make and model of the headset adapter cable that was used to connect the ICOM radios to the headsets. It was a Y-shaped adapter where the single end plugged into the ICOM transceiver, and the other end provided headset jacks. It’s visible in the photo above along the left-side of the photo going from the ICOM down over the edge of the table.

    Thanks & 73,
    -Mike W1TKO
