I received some great news from ARRL HQ this afternoon. Thanks to the great support from so many people, I will have the privilege of serving as your ARRL New England Division Director for the next 3 years.
It has been an amazing opportunity to campaign for and prepare to take on this challenge. I have met so many great folks and groups during the past 6 months since the process of running to become your director began. The people in our Division give me great confidence that Amateur Radio has a great future ahead for all of us…
I want to add a special thanks to the members of the Nashua Area Radio Society Executive Committee. The EC stepped up to take on a good deal of the load that I have carried as your President which enabled me to devote the needed attention to campaigning for and preparing to become ARRL New England Division Director. I am also very happy to see that our current EC will continue to lead our club going forward. Several of us including me a switching chairs which is a good thing but the leadership of the club remains intact.
Thank you to all of the NARS members who supported me and who helped to provide the opportunity for me to serve. I very much appreciate everyone’s support.

Thanks, Tony! It is great to be in a position to serve.
Congratulations Fred! It is great to see some fresh blood at the top. Your depth of knowledge in so many facets of the hobby will definitely aid you as you go forward to shape things for the “connected” generation.
Hope to CU at the Hamcation in February. I imagine you and Anita will be coming down for the convention. I plan to be at the hamfest on Saturday of the weekend.

Thanks Ed. I wish I could make it Hamcation but one of my schools has a contact with the space station that week so I don’t know if it will be possible to make it there.
Onward and forward. GREAT job Fred, and we’re going to see big changes in our beloved hobby. Kudos and congrats on a tough campaign. de Dennis K1LGQ, Brookline, NH
Thanks, Dennis.
