A new version of the software which supports FT8 mode, WSJT-X 2.0 is now available and I’ve been testing it this morning on the 20m band.

The new version supports digital operation during Field Day and a number of contests which include digital modes. The new version is working well here.
I’ve written an article about the new features and included some information on how to get started. You can learn more via the link above.

Apologies for this HARUMPFF!!! Neat stuff, but I haven’t been able to use 1.9.0 and 1.9.1 on FT8 since 9/4.. All of a sudden the software would not key my transmitters (ICOM 756ProII and ICOM 7300 [on loan]). Hamilton and I spent over 2 hrs today trying to figure this out with no luck. Internet searches have not provided any help. Undoubtedly, it’s something simple, but very obscure. A very loud Charlie Brown ARRRGHHHH!!!
1. INSTALLING – I had a problem also with getting started. Find an out of the way spot. And install there. (I wound up making a folder deep in the apps in my Liberkey application.) I will probably work.
2. FAVORITE FEATURE – The new color coding. I can now easily see if the station was worked before; worked before on a specific band; if it is a new Grid Square or a new Grid Square on a specific band.

Hi Tom,
If you set up Teamview on your computer, I can take a look at your setup here and see if I can help. Let me know if you’d like to try this.
