One of the high points of the weekend was the visit by Marconi's daughter and grandson. They were in the United States for a series of events celebrating the 100 anniversary of the invention of the radio, including the opening ot the U.S. National Marconi museum. Field Day weekend marked the opening of the Museum. The museum is located in the historic district of Bedford, New Hampshire.
