The snatch block (a pulley that opens to allow you to lay the rope in, rather than threading it through) makes life much easier for the ground crew. It allows them to pull horizontally and at a safe distance from the tower instead of pulling down vertically. Thanks to Forrest, N1MVF, for donating one to the club. (They're not cheap)
