Novice Technician Class

Once again, NARC will be sponsoring Novice, Technician, and Technician Plus classes this fall. Classes will be Monday nights at 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM Local time. The class will be taught by Wayne Mueller, W1QC, and will be at his house located at 22 Hemlock St, Londonderry, NH. Classes will run 12 weeks starting September 20th, finishing December 6th. The goal is to be prepared to take the Amateur exams at the December 11th , Nashua session.

The text will be the ARRL's "Now You're Talking", 3rd edition. Copies can be purchased from Radio Shack or Ham Radio Outlet for $19. Alternatively, they can be purchased from the club for a discount. For Morse code the companion tape “Your Introduction To Morse Code” is also required. Tuition is free.

General Class

Mike Graham, K7CTW, will be conducting a General class upgrade course this fall. The course will run 6 to 8 weeks and will meet Wednesdays from 7 to 9 PM, starting September 29th. This will be followed by an Advanced and Amateur Extra class. Folks who attend a previous class will have first choice of a seat for subsequent classes.

The class will be held at Mike’s house at 50 Joppa Road, Merrimack, NH. Course book will be the ARRL’s General Class Study guide and FCC rulebook. These will be available through the club at a discount.

Seating is extremely limited so contact Mike at (603)424-6987, or via email at ne1v@worldnet.att.net as soon as possible. Also, please note that the classes will be held in Mike’s basement. If you are allergic to dog or cat hair, you may want to think twice.
