We still have major openings for station masters on 40 SSB, 40 CW, 10 CW, satellite, 2m, 220/440/1200MHz CW and phone. As always we need loggers, climbers, ground crew and people to have fun. Also needed: tents, laptops and radios.
The remaining planning meetings are June 1st, and June 15th. Meetings will be held at the main branch of the Nashua Public Library. Meetings run from 7 to 9 PM downstairs in the Hunt room, East wing. Field day 1999 is Friday, June 25th, through Sunday, June 27th. Check out the 99 Field Day web pages at http://www.n1fd.org/fd/1999 for the latest info.
The Nashua Area Radio Club’s field day site
is located in Hollis, New Hampshire,
courtesy of “Buzz” Muzzey, KA1OMJ. To
get there from Nashua, take exit 6 (Route
130) off the Everett Turnpike and head
towards Hollis. When Route 130 bears to
the right in Hollis follow it to the traffic
light at the corner of Routes 130 and 122.
Turn left onto Route 122 South. At the
Hollis cemetery, on the right hand side of
the road, turn right onto Ridge Road. If you
arrive after 2 PM on Saturday there will be a
sign at the corner. Drive down Ridge Road
for about a mile till you reach a white house
that used to have a barn behind it on the left.
Turn left into the dirt driveway. Park at the
hen house or drive farther into the site.
