There was no treasurer’s report available.
Membership coordinator Tracy, N1WIR, reported there were 118 members in good standing. Under activities, activities coordinator Ed, K2TE, reported he was working on developing a tour of the Marconi Museum for some Saturday.
Under training, president of vice and coordinator of training Bob, KD1AW, reported there was a 10 meter CW net on Wednesday nights at 8 on or about 28.150 MHz. The 2m CW net has not yet started.
Programs coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, announced that the program for May was to be GOTAP, presented by club GOTAP coordinator Mark, N1ZYZ. Field Day is the June topic, with Field Day Incident Commander and Stuckee Fletch, N1MEO. July is open but for August Paul Wade, N1BWT, will present a program on mountain topping.
In old business, Ed moved that the revised NARC membership application be approved, seconded by Jack. The motion carried.
FDIC&S Fletch, N1MEO, outlined the current status of Field Day planning. He reported that based upon the number of volunteers for various stationmaster and operator positions, the club was in class 8A. He is hoping for more volunteers not only as stationmasters and operators, but to handle the logistics of “set up” and “ tear down.”
He said he has also developed a “load plan” for the club trailer which now contains most of the club antennas, tower sections, guy wires, coax, and other Field Day equipment. The three field ranges and the refrigerator are also slated to be stored in the trailer as well.
Keys to the trailer will be issued to Club Property Custodian John, WS1E; FDIC&S Fletch, N1MEO; Waste Water Treatment Facility; Club President Mike, K7CTW; and ARES EC Don, KA1GOZ.
On a motion by Tracy, N1WIR, seconded by Bob, KD1AW, the meeting was adjourned.

Jack, WB4MDC, programs coordinator, introduced Mark Wagner, N1ZYZ, the club’s GOTAP coordinator, who presented a program on the pilot program aimed at getting new hams on the air. Following the program, president Mike opened the business section of the meeting. On a motion by Ernie, NO1V, seconded by Pauline, KA1LDF, the secretary’s report was accepted as published.
Treasurer George, WA1DEI, reported the club balance stood at $2,618.34. He also outlined the current status of the annual budget. On a motion by Pauline, KA1LDF, seconded by Henry, K1CII, the treasurer’s report was accepted as presented.
Under membership, membership coordinator Tracy, N1WIR, reported 146 club members in good standing.
Activities coordinator Ed, K2TE, noted Rochester flea market was coming up this weekend. He is currently working on setting up a tour of the Marconi Museum in Bedford for July 11 or 18. He is also developing a tour of the Air Force Satellite Tracking Station in New Boston for sometime in September.
In the area of training, president of vice and training coordinator Bob, KD1AW, reported that the Novice/Technician class was well underway. He also noted that the 10 meter CW net meets at 8 p.m. Wednesdays on or about 28.150 MHz, and anyone is welcome to join in.
Programs coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, reported the program for June would be Field Day, presented by Field Day Incident Commander and Stuckee Fletch, N1MEO. The July program is open, but likely will be a video program.
In ARES/RACES, Don, KA1GOZ, EC Eastern Hillsborough County, reported a low-key participation in the regional “Response 98” FEMA disaster exercise.
On Field Day planning, FDIC&S Fletch, N1MEO, reported that the club was currently at 14A class and more help was needed for all phases of the operation, especially setup and teardown.
Under old business, Jim, WW1Y, reported on the modifications to the “OC” (Orange Crate) club trailer and loading of antennas, tower sections, guy wire, coax, etc.
He also noted that the next club-sponsored VE session would be June 13 at 9 a.m. at the First Church of Nashua.
In new business, Mary Jane, WA4WIJ, moved that expenses incurred for GOTAP be reimbursed. Pauline seconded the motion. The motion was tabled on a motion by Mark, N1ZYA, and Dave, N1SUE. The motion to table carried.
Jim, WW1Y, reported he was involved in an after school program on radio at the Milford Middle School.
On a motion by Mark, N1ZYZ, seconded by Don, KA1GOZ, the meeting adjourned.
On a motion by Tracy, N1WIR, seconded by Bob, KD1AW, the minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as amended. The call sign N1BWT was corrected.
Treasurer George, WA1DEI, reported a balance of $2,747.81. On a motion by Don, KA1GOZ, seconded by Jack, WB4MDC, the treasurer’s report was accepted as presented. Membership coordinator Tracy, N1WIR, reported there was some problem with the club data and there would be no report.
Activities coordinator Ed, was absent and Mike, K7CTW, reported that Ed was working on a tour of the Marconi Museum and that the museum had requested assistance in installing some inside HF antennas for the ham station in the museum.
President of vice and training coordinator, Bob, KD1AW, noted there was no report from Gary, W1GRY, on the Novice/Technician course. Bob noted that the CW training net was up and running on 10 meters.
Program coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, reported the program for June would be Field Day, presented by Fletch, N1MEO, Field Day Incident Commander and Stuckee. July will feature a video and August will be N1BWT on VHF-UHF mountain-topping. September’s program will be PCS on CATV to be arranged by Tracy, N1WIR. October and November programs remain open.
Under ARES/RACES, Don, KA1GOZ, EC E-Hillsborough County, reported he had assisted in the Northern New England Hurricane Watch exercise with the Red Cross. He also reported there was no SKYWARN training planned this year for the Nashua area. The next training session will be July 18 in Beverly, MA., from noon to 3 p.m. at the GAR hall.
In old business, Fletch, FDIC&S, updated the bored on Field Day planning. Currently we stand at class 22A. Additional help is needed, especially for some positions and for teardown. The bored declined to take from the table a motion to reimburse GOTAP expenses. Jack, WB4MDC, suggested that Mike, K7CTW, obtain any expense data from Mark N1ZYZ, GOTAP coordinator, for the next club meeting.

Following the program, Mike opened the business portion of the meeting, asking for the reading of the secretary’s report. On a motion by Jim, WW1Y, with an unidentified second, the reading was dispensed with and the minutes of the previous meeting along with the current meeting would be published in the next bulletin. The motion carried.

He also reported that the 10 meter CW net had been launched and can be heard on 28150 on Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m. Program coordinator Jack, WB4MDC, announced the July program would be a film; August will be N1BWT on VHF-UHF mountain topping.

Under old business, Mike, K7CTW, announced that Don Grant, N1UBD, and Mary Jane Warren, WA4WIJ, had been appointed the club’s new advertising account managers.
Jim, WW1Y, VE coordinator for the club, noted the next club-sponsored exam would be held June 16 at 9 a.m. at the First Church of Nashua.
On a motion by Don, KA1GOZ, seconded by Jim, WW1Y, the meeting was adjourned to the parking lot and a tour of the ICOM “Funmobile.”
