RF Emission Standards

Now that I know what modes I want my new HF packet box to have when I get one, thanks to the performance comparisons that Ken Wickwire described to us in October, let’s turn to a different ham station topic of more general interest. The FCC has proposed new rules concerning permitted safe limits of radio emissions in the ham shack environment which could have serious impact on all of us. Our own Prez, WS1E, who has significant personal interest in this topic, will give us the latest information on the status of this proposal and what it implies for active hams. Since the regulation is supposed to go into effect on the first of the year, this will be the best time to get John’s take on what this will mean to club members.

Join us at the November meeting for this timely presentation. See you there!
