Hi folks. Fall is here and it’s time to put away the things of summer. Things like lawn chairs, tarps and tents. Take care when packing them away for the winter so that next year they will be ready.
All tents and other canvas materials must be dry and should be stored so that the air can get to them. Why you might ask? In case they’re needed in an emergency. And if we’re fortunate and there is no emergency, June 28th, 1997 is Field Day and it will be time to dust off our skills and equipment and practice once more.
I hope everyone had fun this year and looks forward to doing it again. Maybe we can take first place three years in a row. Now that Al, WA1TYB has retired as the “Incident Commander”, leaving me as the lead stuckee, I’m looking forward to working with everyone. I hope I can do as good a job has Al has done these past three years, and I certainly hope to have even more fun.
