New Column Starting

Starting next month in the Nashua Area Radio Club bulletin will be a new monthly column by Mike Graham, NE1V. Supplementing the “Tiny Elephant’s Contest Corner”, Mike will cover various aspects of that part of the hobby known as DX. For those of us who have always wanted to make contact with such far away and exotic places as Bora-Bora, Europa, Pitcairn and Kerguelen islands, and New Jersey, Mike will show us how.

Each month Mike will keep us current on DX expeditions, operating techniques, and tricks of the trade that he’s learned over the years. From when to listen, how to break pile-ups with modest equipment, and stalking the elusive QSL card we can all look forward to learning something new.

Perhaps Mike’s first column will explain how Jack, WB4MDC can have cards waiting at the 4-land QSL bureau without ever making a DX contact.
