Classie Junque Finds Home
At the May 1st Nashua Area Radio Club meeting, Frank Swiech, N1DGQ, was one of
the winners of the Classie Junque drawing. Frank selected a large, black,
multi-line rotary telephone. He stated "I know someone who can use this.".
Frank gave the telephone to Charles Dunlap, K1II, Emergency Management Director
for the town of Southwick, MA, for use in the town's Emergency Operations
Center. Mr. Dunlap had been searching for old rotary telephones, which are
more immune to Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). Recently Frank received an
official letter from Mr. Dunlap and the town of Southwick thanking him for the
telephone. Frank is glad he won this truly fine piece of Classie Junque and he
passes on Southwick's thank you to whoever donated the telephone for the
drawing.
