Everyone wants to communicate and use the information on the web. We have some amazing technology to do this. Mobile phones, Tablets, and the Internet all use wireless technology to allow us to do this but do we really know how it all works? Amateur Radio Operators (also called Hams) understand, experiment with, and use wireless technology to communicate locally, around the world, and even in space!

The Nashua Area Radio Society has created an Amateur Radio Exposition that we can provide as part of Ham Radio Conventions and at libraries, schools, and other public places to introduce young people and potential new Hams to Amateur Radio. Our display features more than ten high-quality activities that provide a chance to learn about and try many different aspects of Amateur Radio.

Our display features several different Get On The Air (GOTA) stations including a computer-controlled Satellite Ground Station that folks can use to communicate with other Amateurs using satellites in space!

We will have our display available at Ham Radio Conventions this fall including:
- The Northeastern HamXposition at Marlborough, MA – September 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2021

Our display provides hands-on information and activities about many aspects of Amateur Radio. Our activities include:
- A Shortwave Radio Station that you can use to talk to Hams all over the world
- A Display about High-Altitude Balloons that carry radio transmitters to the edge of space
- Keys and activities to try out sending and receiving Morse Code
- Building Ham Radio Gear using Kits and Computers
- A Ham Bootcamp Activity which introduces the world of Amateur Radio and helps you to get on the air
- A GoKit for Amateur Radio Emergency Communications that you can try
- Gear for locating Hidden Radio Transmitters (we call it Fox Hunting)
- And much more!
We customize the elements and focus of our displays to the interests and the venue at each event where they are deployed.

We can also provide an opportunity to purchase and build a kit as part of displays. The Morse Tutor Kit is a touch keyer and practice oscillator developed by Steve Elliot, K1EL.

We provide all of the tools needed to complete the kit on site and our experienced mentors will help builders through the construction process. The kit includes instructions and batteries.

We also have a 70cm ground plane antenna kit that you can build. This antenna will improve the performance of your 70m radio and will help you to access local repeaters more easily.

We also provide information about how you can earn your Amateur Radio License and get on the air. The Nashua Area Radio Society provides license training classes and lots of activities for new Hams to get started.
