  • Spark Interest among Young People in STEM Education and Careers through Ham Radio
  • Provide training and mentoring to enable our Members, Internet Subscribers, and Club License partners to improve their technical and operating skills and to be prepared to assist in times of emergency

Content Guidelines

Posting content is a great way to share information and support our learning mission. We provide several means to do this including:

Postings that are consistent with forwarding our Mission are welcomed. Our website is not to be used as a general-purpose bulletin board for the purposes of promoting activities outside of directly sponsored by the Nashua Area Radio Society or for posting any content that is not appropriate for viewing by visitors of all ages.

Appropriate Content Examples

  • Posting Questions or Information to help yourself or others learn about Amateur Radio and related STEM topics
  • Posting Articles about projects or Amateur Radio related skills development that you are involved in to help yourself and others to learn
  • Posting information about Nashua Area Radio Society activities
  • Sharing of Amateur Radio related links that provide useful information to all Amateurs and do not promote any Inappropriate Content including areas defined in the next section.

Inappropriate Content Examples

  • Posting any content that you do not have rights of ownership to and/or explicit permission to post (ex. photographs of people that do not consent to your posting).
  • Posting any content that is not appropriate for all ages
  • Posting offensive or other inappropriate language or statements that would offend our members, subscribers, club licensees, or visitors

  • Posting of personal information that should not be shared with all Internet visitors.

Reblogging

It’s often helpful and fun to reblog or post an excerpt from another post on the Internet along with a review or added perspective here on https://www.n1fd.org. This is an OK thing to do as long as the re-blogged content is:

  • Appropriate for our members, subscribers, club licensees, and visitors
  • Is consistent with our mission
  • And follows accepted guidelines for reblogging.

Its almost never appropriate to reblog another author’s content in full without first getting written permission from the original author to do so. Posting a short 1-2 sentence excerpt along with a clear acknowledgment of the original author and a permanent link to the original post along with your review or additional perspective on the content is usually a good way to go when reblogging.
