Join The Nashua Area Radio Society

Join Us

As you can probably tell from the content on our website or if you’ve been to one of our meetings or to our Field Day, the Nashua Area Radio Society has a lot going on! We hope that you’ll consider joining us by becoming a Regular Member or an Internet Subscriber.

You don’t have to have a license to join the Nashua Area Radio Society. Also, we can help you earn your license if you want to get one. If you are not sure if you want to join us, spend some time looking around on our website (here’s a good place to begin) or come to one of our Membership Meetings or a Tech Night and meet some of the members and see we are doing. We hope this will increase your interest in Amateur Radio and perhaps you’ll decide to join us.

We have two ways that you can become part of the Nashua Area Radio Society:

  • Join us as a Regular Member – open to everyone in the United States of America. (You can join as an Associate Member if you do not yet hold an Amateur Radio License and we have a Family Membership available as well).
  • Support us as an Internet Subscriber – open to anyone whose permanent address is in the United States of America and outside the states of New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Regular (and Associate or Family) Members can participate in all Nashua Radio Society activities including our Membership Meetings and Tech Nights, our Field Day and other Operating Activities, and all of the Forums on our website.  Members can also post articles which will appear in our Newsletters and can vote in our officer elections.

Internet Subscribers benefit from all of the training materials on our website including our extensive online Tech Night Video training library. We also provide mentoring for our Internet Subscribers via their posting questions and receiving answers in several of our online forums:

Internet Subscribers are also encouraged to participate in one or both of our weekly on-air nets via EchoLink (our repeater net) or via the 10m band (our HF net). All of these learning tools are available for a small yearly donation which supports our non-profit work.

Internet Subscribers are not eligible to hold office in NARS or vote in our elections and must live outside of New Hampshire and Massachusettes.

Both Regular Members and Internet Subscribers receive our Monthly Newsletters via email.

Posting on our website including our Forums, Our Blog, and Comments is moderated and is subject to our Posting Policy and Guidelines. You can read our Posting Policy and Guidelines here.
