Tom,
You can watch on the NH General Court web site to determine when the bill (HB-417) will come up for a hearing in front of the House Commerce Committee.
Having served this past term as a House committee chairman, it is important that there are a lot of people who attend and show their interests as it does have an influence on the members. That includes submitting a letter to the committee and testifying on the bill. Those who can not attend should also send emails of their position to the Commerce Committee which can be done here:
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/committees/links.aspx?x=3&id=29
The bill’s text and eventual amendments will appear here when you click the link “Docket”.

Thanks, Jamey!
Doing a little more work on the project this weekend. Learning more about coding (bash/python scripts on the RasPi). Testing out an auto-start feature on power-up. Good for power loss/return, so the station gets back up on it’s own. I haven’t put it on the crontab yet for automatically running just yet. Testing out the program starter script today. Checks out OK with the system hanging in the garage last night, as I SSH’d into the Pi over WiFi.
After I add the python modules (running on RasPi NOAA) to the GOES RasPI for tweeting and emailing today, I’ll do more testing to make sure RasPi GOES texts me the reboot complete status.
Got a lot I want to do to this GOES project. Need to work on scripts for offloading the 5-7GB of daily data to another computer on the network.
Fun stuff… Got three RasPi’s going with others planned…
a) RasPi NOAA Receiver – OPERATING – outputs to Twitter @RasPi_WxSat
b) RasPi GOES Receiver – part time operation, until I get an enclosure for the electronics
c) Pi-Aware – ADS-B monitor outputting to my local network, as well as feeding to FlightAware.com
d) FoxInABox (FIAB) – DOWN for rework – monitoring FOX satellite telemetryGreat seeing you & your family at the park.
My wife & I had a great time looking for the second fox today.

Hi Jamey,
My wife & I found Fox 1 – in 35 minutes.
I did not know the tiny fox frequency & had started late in the day.
Great fun thank you,
Ari – WB1ABC
Hi All,
I’m very sorry for all the QRM. I din’t mean to stomp on the NET while chatting with others on EchoLink. I hope it wasn’t too disruptive.
Happy New Year!

The fox was found today!!!
We used the off frequency method.
Thank you,
Ari WB1ABC
We had figured that one of the foxes was up higher.
We use the off frequency method to hone into the foxes once we are close & this time it did not work.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas

Hi Jamey,
There was three of us were out looking for the fox
Even with two radios 3 miles covered & two hours, we found nothing…
Well done.
