I have a small station, with the ICOM IC-7300, an ICOM AH-4 tuner, and a set of fan dipoles in the attic. With this setup, I am able to communicate on the 15, 17, 20, 30, and 40 meter bands. I also have the ICOM ID-5100A, ID-51, and Kenwood TH-D72 for local communications. Scott Andersen, NE1RD, helped me set up my station. He provided advice on what to buy and how to set things up. He also occasionally lent me some equipment to try out. After meeting him, I have made over 3000 contacts over a time frame of about three years. I would like to thank Scott and all of the other radio amateurs that have helped me in my amateur radio journey. I recently received the ARRL DXCC awards. I also have received the ARRL Worked All States award, and the CQ Magazine Worked All Prefixes award in the Mixed Category. I am interested mainly in the digital modes: CW, FT8, FT4, and RTTY. I occasionally find some time for SSB. I have an MSEE degree and 28 years of experience working as an engineer. I really like the videos that are on your website and plan to watch many of them. The content is very interesting, and the production quality is high.
