Bootcamp was outstanding - really enjoyed the details. I have all three licenses but not active yet since inexpensive HT cannot reach the Toccoa Amateur Radio Society club repeater which is about 30 miles away. I went ahead and received my VE certification too. The local ham radio group does not offer educational classes, testing yes, so the workshop helped with practical knowledge. I would like to purchase a mobile radio (50 watts, 2 bandwidths) to primarily use at home with a portable J-antenna due to HOA rules plus be able to take on the road. I also teach at Clemson University and offer my students extra credit each semester if they study and pass the test for their license. Clemson has a student chapter but COVID-19 has stopped most activities on campus.
