Retired about 6 years ago from Lockheed Martin in Chelmsford, MA., as a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer. Most of my career has been in RF and Microwaves. Although , I think I forgot a lot over the years. Thought it was about time to join an Amateur Radio group and improve my knowledge from more experienced people and help out where I can. Almost 3 years ago I received my Technician and General class license the same weekend. Recently I traded in my first Ham radio, an ICOM-718 to get an ICOM -7300. With the ICOM-718, I did not spend too much time on the air. After getting the IC-7300 I have spent more time with the radio. Both radios are 100 Watt. The antenna is a G5RV Dipole, 102 feet, with ladder line. I have a Samlex SEC-1235M power supply. My wife Liz and I have lived in Amherst for 22 years. My hobbies are Ham radio, Golf, and Shooting.
