I’m not sure of what sound card ports that WSJT-X is using on the pi – there are quite a few options. The big problem is that the radio and WSJT-X are not communicating to each other. I can get the pi WSJT-X to decode by setting the KX2 to 7.074 MHz, but if I hit “Enable Tx” it will give me the error “Rig Failure  Hamlib error: IO error while opening connection to rig.”

I’ll replace the batteries a little later this morning.

        Happy hunting!

Looks like we’ve got 3 hikers! Mark, Keith and Bill you three may want to all hike together, but I’ll leave that to you to decide.

I am going to drive up to the parking area and set up there. I will be there as early as the park will let me in as I have to leave around 2 pm. I’ll have the KX2, IC71oo in my car and an HT. I’ll also have my buddipole and my endfed antenna with me along with the Elk for 2m/70cm work.

Looks like the weather is going to be beautiful! My cell is (617) 872-1046 and I’ll monitor 146.52 MHz on the way up and while I’m up there.

I’m looking forward to a fun activation!

              Hi Adam,

Sorry we missed you on Saturday – I didn’t see your post until we returned and we didn’t hit the tail until about 8:45 as one of our members was running late. We also hiked up about a third of the way and had to return before going back up, so we were running very late.

At any reate, we do have a a couple more POTA/SOTAs planned so hopefully you’ll join us on those. The one coming up on Mount Kearsarge should  be good one as it takes place during the VHF/UHF contest. 6m and up should be pretty good. HF is also a lot fun on the peaks!

              73,

              Jamey, AC1DC

The weather is still looking great for tomorrow’s SOTA/POTA. I haven’t heard from anyone interested in just the POTA and we should have around a 1/2 dozen of us for the hike up for the SOTA! I’m looking forward to testing out the buddipole on my shock-corded mast!

See you all at the Park Headquarters at 8:00. We’ll hit the trail at 8:30!

I will be bringing my KX2 with a Buddipole (and the new shock-corded mast) and a HT with Elk antenna for VHF/UHF. I am more than happy to share!

Good idea, Brian. I’ll program the HT before I go!

Burns, that’s a great idea to bring business cards – I think we’ll bring some QSO cards with us as well that has our information on it!

We’ll definitely stop by the AMSAT booth!

                      Thank you.
