      Thanks for organizing Alan!

Nice to see you, Jack (WM0G), Mike (W1TKO) and Dave (N1AI).

The bands were hopping.  I was going to do 20m FT8, but the waterfall was packed… switched to FT4 (a bit less activity) and easily completed the activation.  I then lugged my 10GHz setup to the peak to check out the receiver – picked up two beacons KA1UAG (30 miles) and N1JEZ (94 miles).

Mike and Dave did their POTA activations at the summit.

      73,

      Jay

Hi Alan – sorry I missed the activity last weekend (had family visiting).  I heard a rumor there is another POTA activity this weekend (the 27th).  Is that true?

          Thanks,

I can do a brief snapshot of my dish antenna project:

Converting a 1.8m (diameter) fixed dish to Azimuth/Elevation control.

Thanks to Jim Lajoie and Matt Atwood for organizing this weekend’s POTA activation.  It was great weather and successful activations all around!

Brian – I don’t have a compact (non-benchtop) setup just yet.  Knowing that someone else in the area does though will bump up the priority 🙂  When I get closer to having something, are you available to do some radio checks before jumping on a mountain?

Jeff – Very cool!  Looks impressive!  Don’t think I’ll make it over there this time.  Will keep it in mind for the future.  Have fun!

Bill – Thanks – I’ll have to visit one of those locations (probably Kearsarge is the easiest).  I haven’t seen anyone posting about Pack Monadnock – any idea if it will be used?

                      Reviving an old thread… 🙂

I’m still playing with microwave stuff, have signed up with Northeast Weak Signal Group, but am wondering if any local NARS folks are experimenting with or operating the microwave bands?

Looks like they have a helium delay..

                        From Discord:

“@everyone WELL, sorry folks, but it looks like this weekend is off for a launch. We’re going to have to postpone until next weekend. It turns out every AirGas supplier in the vicinity of MA is out of helium until next Tuesday. Didn’t see that one coming!”

                        Crossing my fingers them! ?

                        –Jay
