I snapped the scores into Excel and added a total QSO and Log error column.

There were 231 Outdoor teams and 801 teams in all categories. For a first year effort you guys knocked it out of the park!

Also at 1.8% N1FD had by far the lowest errors (Claimed vs Calculated) of the top 10 teams. The next closest was 4.9% with most in the 7% to 12% range.

We were 2nd in Outdoor and 1st in 4O. Here are the top Outdoor scores.

On the total list (H, I, O) we were 3rd overall. The 1st place winner has far fewer QSOs but did a better job with Mults.

It is 15 sec for Rx and 15 sec for Tx.  Actual Tx time is ~13 seconds.

If Tx is longer that 15 sec it may be the VOX settings assuming you are using VOX, if not, disregard.

My first call was AB1YE and I changed it to K1HMS, HMS being my initials. I soon discovered H is silent in many languages and have spent a lot of time repeating H and Hotel OTA. More that one station has given up and started calling CQ again.  Also for CW I have a H and a S…  When I see someone’s Call on a shirt or hat with a H I ask if they have a problem passing the H. They have all said yes.

Say your desired call phonetically, does it have punch? is it good for CW?

In hindsight, “Yankee Echo” was a great call….

                Hello David,

                Your autoseq is working.

The sequence is similar to SSB when you answer a CQ and expect to hear QSL to confirm he heard and copied you. You don’t typically say  QSL back to him, you both know his call since he was calling CQ and you answered him. The same is true for digital, you don’t send him a roger roger roger comfirming his call, this step is skipped.

When you call CQ you will be sending the rrr and shouldn’t expect one to come back.

As Fred writes there are other sequences that skip or combine steps to save time.

                    Dave,

Assuming windows, can you see the driver in Device Manager?  If so you can right click on it and select the port tab you can see and set the baud rate, COM port, bits, etc.

The baud must match on the PC, radio,  and WSJT-X.

Let us know which OS you are using.

                      Rick,

Sounds like a plan. I have power meters, spectrum analyzers, sig gens, counters etc to 22 GHz with a limited capability to 110 GHz. Also O scopes and Logic Analyzers etc.

Let me know when you are ready.

                        Hello Rick,

I can easily replace those parts and have the proper equipment and procedures including ESD in place.

I’m in Amherst and work from home most days.

My ” give back” to the hobby is repairing rigs that still have life in the but the manufacture no longer supports. I only charge for parts and shipping which it sounds like neither will apply in your case.
