I am not sure if I am getting out on 13 colonies and not sure if perhaps I have the wrong cable for my Heil Microphone to match it to my IC-7300. I believe this cable is the one I have always used which is the cable with WITH CAP.
I have the Heil Pro-Set Elite with an HC-6 Element so I think this is correct. Couldn’t find anything on the Heil website as to which one to actually use which is unfortunate.
Thanks,

Here’s the ICOM microphone adapter list: https://heilhamradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/ICOM-Microphones.pdf
It states that dynamic mics are not recommended for ICOM radios, and doesn’t list the IC-7300 at all for dynamic mics. However, you may want to talk to Fred, as I believe he knows a way to do it, albeit with some radio adjustments.
I went to Hamvention and bought a special Heil cable from Gigaparts and they said that it works with the 7300. You might need to increase the mike gain but I have yet to try it.
Trying to find the number but the plastic junction area was teal 8n color.
Maybe Fred has more info.

Try the AD-1-I. (AD One-eye). That is also teal and for ICOM W/dynamic

I have a similar question (but for different headset)…
Does anyone know the make/model of the Icom mic-to-headset adapters that were in use with the radios in the tents at Field Day 2022?
Those adapters that were there at Field Day worked well for my Bose B30 intercom headset that has a dynamic mic. You can see the adapter I’m talking about in the attached picture. This might be the one with the “teal” that others are talking about. ItI want to order that same model adapter.
Any info on what adapter(s) were commonly used there at Field Day 2022 would be appreciated.
