      Hello,

      I am wondering if it is a reasonable undertaking to be able to send and receive phone with the N3AUY repeater on 10m from Hollis, NH, nearly 400 miles. I have family in that area that could connect to it with an HT. I currently have only a Tech License and only an HT but it honestly might be worth it to me to get General and gear just for this.

        Hello Collin,

        You’d need good 10m propagation to reach 400 mi. This would probably be possible at the peak of the sunspot cycle during the daytime but it’s probably not reliably possible given the conditions that exist right now.

          Fred,

          So it would be reasonable to say this would be very difficult to do with ground wave?
