With the help of Mike K1WVO, it was a hide & seek finding the exact trouble why Jean’s (K1AVM) Handy would not charge with battery attached. The NEW battery pack was faulty from the distributor but…who would have known. After complete demolishing the “pack,” it was discovered TWO (not one) NiMH batteries just didn’t cut the mustard. A lot of resoldering and plastic clipping solved the “NO CHARGE” caper. Everything back to normal with rubber band securing battery pack to Handy. TaDah…!
