    Our organization’s mission is to:

    • Encourage and help people to become licensed and active in the Amateur Radio Service
    • Spark Interest among young people in STEM Education and Careers through Amateur Radio
    • Provide training and mentoring to enable Amateur Radio Operators to improve their technical and operating skills and to be prepared to assist in times of emergency.
    • Sponsor on-air operating activities so that Amateurs may practice and fully develop their operating skills and have fun with Ham Radio!

    We Are Recruiting Tiger Teams

A Tiger team is a group of people with diverse expertise and complementary skill sets, assembled to work on a specific project or problem. Tiger teams often consist of members who are outside the normal organizational structure, drawn from different areas of the club.

    STEM TEAM

    • NARS has an excellent relationship with a number of schools in our area among which are Hudson Memorial School, Bishop Guertin High School, World Academy and Hollis Brookline High School.
    • In furtherance of our mission, we are recruiting members to participate in planning and delivering program(s) to one or more of the schools to promote STEM through HAM Radio.

    SOTA/POTA TEAM

    • SOTA and POTA activities consistently poll with the highest level of interest for HAM Radio activities.
      • Entry level is Technician License.
      • Simple HT is suitable for participating.
    • We are recruiting members to participate in planning and promoting a robust training exercise at our October 16 event at Pack Monadnock.
    • We welcome your time and gear to contribute to this event, but even if you have none, your help with planning, promoting, and participating will make the event a success.
    • We will provide hands-on training like we do at Field Day to all participants.
    • As with Field Day, if members want to operate, all they need to do is sign up and we will get them on the air.

Keep a watch in the Forums for more information and updates on our progress and Zoom info for meetings as they form up.
