Niece Haynes KA1ULN hosts a slow slow speed CW net at 7,045 kHz Sunday night at 9:00 PM EST.

I checked in for the first time last night and enjoyed it.

There are other slow CW nets. But this has to be the slowest and easiest CW net out there that is “beginner friendly”.

This supports the first timer and also those that are more proficient. 2 wpm is ok, and for the first timer that is “key shy” the chance to just send your call sign and see who copied it via a chat room. How low stress and easy is that? A few people list their status as Just Listening.

There were many states including IL, CO, SC, and others on the net, it is open to all.

You will need to load netlogger (netlogger dot org) to see the list of who is checked in and when it is your turn. Also you will want to open the netlogger chat room (AIM). It provides a back channel to connect with the people on the net and to know what is going on even if you can’t copy the person OTA.

If you have a key or paddle and have EVER thought about CW this is a good place to start.
