I got the following information about this event from Dennis W1UE.  Even if I can’t get down to the event, it might be a chance to work a station in the Yukon Territory!

The April 10 “beta test” of “The HF Experience” will take place at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham, Massachusetts (12:30 until 4 PM EDT).

The presentations are still being firmed up, but will probably include:

      – Bands and Propagation (Mark Pride, K1RX)
      – Acquiring your first HF transceiver (Tony, K1KP)
      – Building Simple and Effective antennas (George, W1EBI)
      – Resources for new Hams, and how to find them (by Marty, KC1CWF)
      – How the internet enhances the HF Experience (Gerry, W1VE)
      – Collecting Awards, (Charlie, N1RR)  (Slide deck & audio remotely from K1TTT)
      – Introduction to RadioSport (Doug Grant, K1DG)K1K will be the callsign of the station we will be using.  We will be using remote stations in Massachusetts, Vermont, Manitoba, and Yukon, so one or more should have propagation to NH.

By the way, there will be a flea market at the same place, starting at 9:00AM: http://www.w1fy.org/flea.aspx
