We’ve had an amazing year at the Nashua Area Radio Society. We’ve done many great projects in support of our mission:

• Encourage and help people to become licensed and active in the Amateur Radio Service – We’ve licensed or upgraded over 260 folks to date. We’ve held Youth Expos at Hamfests added New Ham Bootcamp helping over 100 folks to get on the air to date.
• Spark Interest among young people in STEM Education and Careers through Amateur Radio – We held our ISS Crew Contact, helped HMS to start a school radio club, did kit builds in schools and more.
• Provide training and mentoring to enable Amateur Radio Operators to improve their technical and operating skills and to be prepared to assist in times of emergency – We’ve held successful Winter and Summer Field Day operations and continued to invest in EMCOM gear.
• Sponsor on-air operating activities so that Amateurs may practice and fully develop their operating skills and have fun with Ham Radio! – SOTA Activations, Rookie Roundup Contests, as well as Field Days are just a few of the fun on-air activities that we’ve done.

Our members and the Amateur Radio Community have been very generous in supporting our work through GoFundMe, AmazonSmile and in other ways. On this Thanksgiving Day, I just wanted to send a very big THANK YOU to everyone who has been so generous in supporting our work.

Tomorrow, many of us will be shopping online in preparation for the upcoming holiday season. The Nashua Area Radio Society is a recognized 501c(3) non-profit charity and as such is eligible for donations from Amazon when folks shop there. This program is called AmazonSmile and costs those who support us in this way nothing. Amazon Smile has the same products and prices that are available on Amazon.
