            Hi,

Jeff Friend, KK7NBW  Internet club member.  I saw the posting on Summer 2025 Field Day and your idea of a possible internet exercise of some type.  I am on the west coast in Oregon with a small station.  I recently purchased the necessary items to go battery and solar.  I was thinking of doing a yard setup outside for a test of concepts.  I don’t know if this fits any scenario for the internet exercise.  If nothing else I would appreciate being able to observe your operations via zoom or some other stream.

Hi Brian, I am planning on attending – would like to operate CW and SSB.

                Hi Brian,

Thanks for allowing me to be a “fly on the wall” in last night’s planning meeting. As new member, I needed to get some baseline knowledge before jumping with questions.

Is this the right place for FD comms? It does not appear to be the case as I see no planning going on in this forum.

I mentioned to Dave that I have a large bus (motor home) 45 foot and 18 ton that I use as my base. I too will be running a generator. It appears the site will accommodate my rig. Do you see any issues? Once I arrive Friday, I will be on site until I leave Sunday.

I will add to the equipment list for basics like cords, cooler etc. You mentioned needing help with towers. I have a gin pole and rigging. I also climb. I would like to better understand the tower system before I make a commitment, but, I do think I can support the effort.

The Friday schedule seems off to me. 09:00 – 13:00 is a big block of time. Is that fully allocated? We discussed bring your own lunch yet we show a 13:00 start which is likely after lunch. Is nothing really going on at the site before 13:00?

More to come ass this evolves…
