So, I think we have an opportunity to activate Mines Falls in Nashua. According to US-8014 the Nashua river along with the Nissitissit (this is where the map indicates the location of US-8014) and the Squannacook rivers are all part of the National Wild and Scenic river ways. Now according to rule 5 of POTA Activation Location and Access, you only need to be within 100 feet of the river. So, I think Mines Falls as long as you within 100′ of the Nashua River qualifies. Let the POTA activations begin!!!

Brian,
I’ve looked at us-8014 several times. I always took it as a point on the map but the description is very confusing. Most Parks have well defined boundary’s and as a point on the map it isn’t even close to Mine Falls however, the Nashua Wild and Scenic Rivers Way includes 52.8 miles of rivers passing through New Hampshire and Massachusetts which actually would seem to include, as you mentioned, any place within 100 feet along those waterways.

Well, after further review for the Nashua River, it looks like the Nashua River National Wild and Scenic River way ends at the Mass/New Hampshire boarder. So Mines Falls is not part of the National Wild and Scenic river way. Sorry guy.
