Steve, K1EL has a family medical emergency and will not be able to attend our Tech Night this evening. We are planning to go forward with our planned kit build at our February Tech Night and we will share more about this at our Tech Night this evening.

We are going to change the topic for tonight’s Tech Night to Building and Operating a Mobile HF Station. Scott and I are thinking that this topic will be of interest to folks how are looking for an alternative to building an HF station at home as well as those who want to expand the HF operating opportunities to the road.

Folks who would like to be part of our Kit Build Tech Night in February should order their kits now for the K1EL site at –

      http://k1el.tripod.com/PS2B.html

We recommend the PS2B kit with the base but any of K1EL’s kits are suitable for our planned kit build in February.

Well then, I should see you tonite!  This is exactly what I’m trying to do!  I’m hoping some good ol’ antenna theory might be part of the discussions!

      Best to K1EL!

        Hi Jay,

Yes, the mobile antenna system that we’ll be talking about is similar to the one that you are working with in your portable setup. Lets also plan to take a little side trip during tech night and talk about the radial questions as well.

          Folks,

The website may show the PS2B kit as out of stock at the moment. Its OK to order it anyway as the kits will ship no later than January 22 and you will receive them in time for our February Tech Night Kit Build on February 13th.
