One of my favorite events of the whole year is taking place this Saturday, August 17th. NARS’s annual trip up Mount Washington!

Please refer to the article for more details on available ways up the mountain:  https://www.n1fd.org/event/mount-washington-sota-pota-activation/

There will be a small group that is hiking up. They plan on leaving around 6:30-ish from Pinkham Notch and going up Tuckerman’s Ravine trail to the top. If you are planning on hiking please send an email to Jamey at [email protected] so that we know who is hiking and if you want to join up for the hike.

We should plan for members to arrive at the summit around 10 am. If it is a nice day – and right now the weather looks great! – the parking lot will fill up quickly. We are planning to set up in the parking area. There are two levels, but both are next to each other so it should be easy enough to find each other. For those coming up the Cog Railway or hiking up the west side of the mountain you’ll have to walk down the stairs on the east side to the parking lot to find the group. We will monitor 146.520 MHz while up there, but reception will be spotty if you are on the west side and also if you are hiking up the east side.

I’ll be posting updates here so check in frequently throughout the week.

Please, feel free to contact me with any questions.
