Sadly, Matt Atwood, WE1H became a silent key this week.
Matt has been a long-time active Ham, involved in many aspects of the hobby. Matt has been a member of the Nashua Area Radio Society Executive Committee serving as Membership Chairperson. In that role, he upgraded our membership tracking system to automate most of the reporting tasks. This has significantly improved the accuracy of our records and reduced the amount of time needed to complete the duties of the membership chairperson. In addition, Matt has helped with our POTA events and tiger team as well as Field Day, and with our Youth Expos at the Northeast HamXposition. He has also helped to license many amateurs as a Volunteer Examiner (VE) at our exam sessions. Matt enthusiastically has volunteered to help the club and our members in many ways. Matt has also been very active in ARES.
Fred, AB1OC and I have greatly enjoyed working with Matt on the Executive Committee. Matt will be missed by all of us.
Matt has written several articles for our website. You can read them through the links below:
We will all miss Matt and his enthusiasm for Amateur Radio and for our club.
